At our fourth Messy Church, the theme of God Cares for Us was explored in craft and games. The adults and children (aged between six weeks and nine years), together with 20 adult helpers, all took part in a variety of activities and had tea together.

The craft activities included making edible chocolate nests, and sheep with wool and card, decorating Thank You cards, plus playdough for the younger children. There was a wall game looking for the lost sheep, and an egg and spoon obstacle game.

As well as a core of people from the churches in Stansted who planned the event, many others contributed to the preparation, including food for the tea – all helping to make this a free afternoon for the families in Stansted. Thanks again to St Mary’s School for supporting us.
