St Mary’s school hall was buzzing with excitement as we prepared to welcome the sixty people of all ages who came to our January Messy Church.
The theme was Hope and included the story of Noah. Activities included making shakers (later used in the celebration to represent the storm), origami doves and fruit kebabs; colouring rainbow pictures (illustrating the story of Noah); wordsearches and puzzles; reveal pictures; pinning our hopes for the year to a special tree; and face painting.
For those who preferred to ‘chill out’ there were books to look at, or an opportunity to sit and talk with parents, grandparents or one of the helpers.
Soon it was time for the celebration followed by a delicious tea.
Our next event is on Sunday 12th March – see you there!
