Christmas on The Green

This year we decided to do something different that would bring the community together, so we held an event on Mountfitchet Green which over 100 people attended. Despite the rain, a group of hardy musicians accompanied the singing as people moved between four stations, representing the Christmas story.  Each station was beautifully illustrated with artwork created by Stansted U3A Art group and the event was dominated by a 6 foot high angel created by Carole Crosby. At each station, a character from the Christmas story spoke and everyone sang a carol.

Our visit to Mountfitchet Care Home on the Sunday before Christmas to sing carols was  delightful occasion for residents and singers alike.
