Celebration of Christmas

St Theresa’s Church was full for this joyful family event, with participation from St Mary’s and Forest Hall Schools, and St John’s Junior and Adult Choirs. Many thanks to the readers, singers, conductor Ros Page and organist Stephen Rapkin. The collection for the Christian Aid Christmas Appeal amounted to a record £630. After the celebration everyone was invited to shortbread and mulled wine in the Parish Centre.

Village Carol Singing

We enjoyed mild weather and were encouraged to have a good number of singers. It was good to start our second evening singing to the residents of Mountfitchet House. Special thanks go to our hostesses Maureen, Melvin, Roy and Christine who plied us with seasonal refreshments.  Residents generously donated £318.75, and when added to the Celebration of Christmas donations, a total of £948.75 has been sent to the Christian Aid Christmas Appeal.
