Our 12th Messy Church was on the first really sunny day of the summer. The theme of Sharing God’s Love was explored through the story of The Good Samaritan. Activities included a First Aid Corner, where there was the opportunity to practise bandaging skills on soft toys, and to talk about treating injuries; creating Lolly Stick Characters of the Good Samaritan story which were used in the celebration; Band Aid Biscuits (decorated to look like a plaster) and a Lend a Hand Chart.

Other activities included  making Cards with Hearts; plus the usual playdough, drawing and colouring, word puzzles and books to read. Each activity table had a sheet explaining how the activity related to the theme.

As usual, after the celebration, everyone had tea.
