In 2015, our two annual Christmas events – the celebration of Christmas and the Village Carol Singing – raised the amazing sum of £1056 for the Red Cross Refugee Appeal. Sincere thanks to everyone who contributed, and to the organisers and those who participated.
St Theresa’s Church was packed for the Celebration of Christmas on 19th December. It was the first time the event had been held in this lovely church. These photographs show those who arrived early to secure the best seats!
Members of the churches formed a choir, conducted by Ros Page, who performed a number of items and accompanied the congregational carols. The accompanist was Mark Sullivan.
There were readings by representatives of the Stansted community and churches, and musical contributions from St Mary’s Primary School and Forest Hall School. Father John led the final prayers and blessing. A retiring collection raised £531 for the Red Cross Refugee Appeal.

The Carol Singers visited Bentfield Green on 22nd December and Foresthall Park on 23rd December, when we were delighted to have a number of families and children join us. A further £525 was raised for the Red Cross Refugee Appeal.
