The sun shone for our 6th messy church – the last of the academic year. The theme was God is Good and craft activities included making spiral sandwiches, hanging snake spirals, painting stones, colouring, creating a banner with all the previous themes, and a magnetic fish game. As usual there was playdough for the younger children.
During the celebration, we recapped on some of the songs learnt in earlier sessions and there was plenty of action to accompany the rousing singing. There was also a quiz to see who could remember the themes of the previous sessions. The tea that followed was well-deserved!
As well as a core of people from the churches in Stansted who planned the event, many others contributed to the preparation, including food for the tea – all helping to make this a free afternoon for the families in Stansted. Thanks again to St Mary’s School for supporting us.
