Nearly 70 friends new and old gathered at St Mary’s School for the Churches Together in Stansted third Messy Church. The theme of Friendship was explored in craft, storytelling and drama. The adults and children (aged between six weeks and 12 years), together with 20 adult helpers, all took part in a variety of activities and had tea together. The craft activities included making a tree banner with words describing what makes a good friend; decorating gingerbread men; making friendship bracelets and cutting out and colouring paper dolls.

As well as a core of people from the churches in Stansted who planned the event, many others contributed to the preparation, including food for the tea – all helping to make this a free afternoon for the families in Stansted. Thanks again to St Mary’s School for supporting us.
